I want to be kind to my local environment, is a stove a good choice.

In a word, YES.

DEFRA has rightly included wood burning stoves in their 'Clean Air Strategy'.  A modern 'Eco design' wood burning stove burning 'Ready to burn' wood fuel can be extremely efficient while producing absolutely minimal emissions. We stock some of the most efficient stoves (at up to 90.5% efficiency) and clean burning stoves available. The government have set a bench mark with their Eco design regulations but most of our stoves go way past the Eco design level

A modern stove burning the right fuel, has very low emmissions, infact, 90% less than an open fire and 80% less than an average 10 year old stove. In addition, wood is sustainable and carbon neutral. Trees absorb as much CO2 as they grow, as they release when burned. You can be confident when buying a modern, high quality stove, that you will be choosing a clean and sustainable heating option for you home.
